Grounds & Maintenance Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Grounds and Maintenance Manager to lead our Grounds, Maintenance and Cleaning teams at Crystal Castle. We offer competitive rates and staff incentives.

This is a full time, hands-on role focusing on creating a beautiful and safe environment for both team members and guests. This position leads the Grounds & Maintenance team of 7, plans and delegates projects and tasks to others where necessary and is in charge of determining the level of team support and skills required to get all the jobs done.

Essential Experience and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience in a similar role
  • Hands-on experience in all aspects of grounds & maintenance - including gardens and machinery
  • Proven experience in effective team management and leadership
  • Proven experience in project management
  • Must be an excellent, open communicator both written & verbal
  • WH&S experience

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience in Google Suite
  • OHS white card
  • Knowledge of mechanics, machinery and poisons
  • First aid certificate
  • Chainsaw certificate
  • Application of chemicals certificate

Essential Duties

  • Ensure all schedules allocated to this position are kept updated
  • Manage the maintenance and improvements of the Crystal Castle, checking all routine tasks are done and coordinating external contractors
  • Determining whether various work should be best performed by in-house team or outside contractors
  • Maintenance of gardens and landscaping
  • Mechanical maintenance of all machinery and equipment
  • Ensure regular inspections of entire property
  • Perform safety inspections, examine any potential unsafe working conditions and add these to the WHS agenda
  • Repair and/or delegate anything hazardous or unsafe as soon as possible
  • Repair or outsource any carpentry, plumbing and electrical maintenance and repairs
  • Manage team - including rosters and holiday planning

Sales / Retail Manager

We invite you to be a part of Crystal Castle & Shambhala Gardens, assuming a key role as our Sales Manager. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing our entry booth, managing retail sales, and organising our unique daily experiences.

Position is full time salaried. (Must be available for school holidays and weekends.)

Key responsibilities

  • Cultivate a deep understanding of team motivations to enhance performance and customer experience
  • Proactively identify and solve issues as they arise
  • Continually monitor team performance across the entry booth, retail spaces, and daily experience venues
  • Clarify KPIs for team members, providing support to ensure these are met
  • Organise regular training sessions for staff members to enhance their product knowledge and sales skills
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to drive brand awareness and sales, through in-store promotions, events, and other initiatives

  • Minimum 5 years of recent experience in a Sales Manager role.

Marketing Supervisor

Crystal Castle is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Marketing Supervisor (maternity cover) to join our fun, friendly, and professional team.

As the Marketing Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the image and presence of Crystal Castle & Shambhala Gardens. You will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies that align with our brand values and resonate with our target audience.

The role is instrumental in operationalising Crystal Castle’s marketing strategies. With an ability to translate ideas into actionable plans, you supervise content creation and ensure that the marketing team remains aligned with our goals.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing platforms and tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and brand building.
  • Experience in the hospitality or tourism industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Content Plan Development: Develop and execute comprehensive content plans to drive brand awareness.
  • Digital Marketing Management: Oversee all digital marketing channels, and online advertising to ensure cross-platform alignment. Monitor performance, analyse data, and optimise strategies for maximum impact.
  • Content Creation and Curation: Lead content development efforts, ensuring that all messaging and visuals align with our brand identity. Brief and work closely with the Social Media Content Specialist to create visually engaging and informative content for various platforms. Create eNews in Mailchimp based on content brief, and write and edit content for all social media platforms and email campaigns. Overview and plan content for themed Crystal Of The Month campaigns.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Work with the Head of Marketing to manage a small marketing team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship. 
  • Campaign Management: Plan and execute marketing campaigns, promotions, special days, and giveaways to drive visitor attendance and engagement. 
  • Community Management: Review all content, guest comments, review and feedback from multiple channels and respond as required and amplify good reviews, stories, and news where relevant. Handle all media, influencer, collaboration, and PR enquiries. 
  • Reporting and Analysis: Monitor and report on marketing KPIs, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
