Cafe All-Rounder

We are looking for a versatile and skilled individual to join our cafe team who has BOH experience as a Cook or Kitchen Hand. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for hospitality and a willingness to take on a variety of cafe tasks, including front-of-house.

We need someone who can slot in with minimal training, and is happy to jump in where needed in all the Cafe areas. The position will initially be in the BOH, then will move into other areas of the cafe such as FOH.

The Lotus Cafe is entirely vegetarian, with a focus on healthy, local, and organic food.

Sales / Retail Manager

Are you a dedicated leader who is able to create an awesome customer experience? Do you have a natural ability to inspire others, lead, mentor, and empower your team to achieve success?

We invite you to be a part of Crystal Castle & Shambhala Gardens, assuming a key role as our Sales Manager. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing our entry booth, managing retail sales, and organising our unique daily experiences.

Position is full time salaried. (Must be available for school holidays and weekends.)

Key responsibilities

  • Cultivate a deep understanding of team motivations to enhance performance and customer experience
  • Proactively identify and solve issues as they arise
  • Continually monitor team performance across the entry booth, retail spaces, and daily experience venues
  • Clarify KPIs for team members, providing support to ensure these are met
  • Organise regular training sessions for staff members to enhance their product knowledge and sales skills
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to drive brand awareness and sales, through in-store promotions, events, and other initiatives

What we are looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of recent experience in a Sales Manager role.
  • Someone who is passionate about creating extraordinary customer service
  • Confidence to lead, coach and mentor our team at a high level
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an open communication style
  • Be approachable and confident when interacting with customers
  • Positive attitude with lots of initiative
  • Strong time management skills
  • Experience in sales tracking, targets and budgets
  • Experience in managing rosters and wages
  • Proven team performance management experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive under pressure
  • Exemplary role model for the sales team
