Workshop #2

Shrine Making

with Claudia Gyr

People have created shrines for thousands of years to celebrate and honor connection to Spirit, nature, significant people and important life events; in short, anything which holds meaning and deserves remembrance such as:

• Worship & Prayer
• Love & Gratitude
• Mindfulness & Meditation
• Healing & Wellbeing
• Birth
• Death
• Relationships
• Creative Visualisations

Our lives have become so busy that we often forget and/or have difficulties making space for what is meaningful and important in our lives.
In this workshop you get to explore what really matters to you whatever that may be and create your own personal shrine to bring that into focus.

You will learn how to create a beautiful shrine from a pre-cut cardboard template which is quick and easy to assemble. You will be guided with choosing color, symbols and imagery to make it uniquely yours so you can take it home with confidence and continue to embellish and decorate your own personal shrine as you like.

Shrine building is a creative process which will inspire you, to bring focus and to remember, and engage with your hearts voice. These shrines can easily be repainted and redecorated again as your focus changes.

Facilitator ~ Claudia Gyr is a trained Artist and qualified Art Therapist using Art for Personal Development and Wellbeing. As a visual artist Claudia has been teaching different creative modalities to children and adults in Switzerland and Australia over the past 30 years. She ran her own gallery and studio in Australia for many years and has exhibited her work in Australia and Overseas.

Workshop #3

Beginners Guide to Shamanic Awakening

with Peter Bowden

An experiential introduction to Shamanic Awakening that will provide participants with the tools to start bringing Shamanic Awareness into their daily lives. This includes daily prayer, practice and meditation. Shamanic practices are easily learnt and help create a deeper connection to our intuition, for use in guidance and healing. Guidance can be helpful in addressing challenges and resolving issues. Healing is at a spiritual level and usually has profound positive effects with people becoming more self-confident, alive, and physically healthy.

Share a connection to Mother Earth and Earth based Medicine Teachings as you participate in a Shamanic Journey that awakens and expands the consciousness. A Shamanic Journey can guide people to levels of deep understanding, truth and empowerment. As a result of these experiences people surrender and let go into deeper states of Healing Consciousness for themselves and all Beings.

Facilitator ~ Peter Bowden’s interest in Native American Culture has been since childhood. He met his first Traditional Teacher 22 years ago when and made his first Drum. Peter has walked his spiritual path for more than 22 years, sharing teachings of a spiritual nature from the Cree people in Canada and from the Apache people in New Mexico and teachings from Elders in Australia.

When: Saturday 9th June 2012
Time: 1.30pm to 4pm

Workshop #4

Meet and Journey with your Power Animal/Ally

with Peter Bowden

When practicing Shamanism, people work with guides and allies, sharing with them during Ceremony, Celebration, Healing and Journeying. One of the most integral parts of Shamanic Journeying is to share with your Power Animal/Ally. Animal Allies assist you through times of Healing, in Soul Retrieval work and when people feel a lack of energy or are unwell. You can call on your Power Animal for strength, guidance and empowerment and to help you with your healing practice.

Through intuitive processes the individual’s Power Animal can be awakened. The Power Animal/Ally is met in a Shamanic Drum Journey and brought to life through dance and movement. Once you have connected to your Power Animal/Ally you can call on them at any time you wish.
