Green Tara String Mandala of Compassion

An ephemeral tantric art work, the three dimensional string mandala is traditionally created to avoid major national or global disasters at the request of a government or wealthy benefactor. On completion, it is usually burned thereby dispelling major repetitive obstacles.

It can be performed at the individual level to move strong or chronic negative energy whereby prosperity, equanimity, harmony and balance are restored bringing about spiritual enhancement.

The finale will involve constructing a 1m high torma known as a Mahakala Torchak which will also be tossed into the fire. These actions are dedicated to the removal of violence and war in the world in a highly ritualistic ceremony to complement the peaceful energy represented by the Kalachakra World Peace Stupa in celebration of its completion one year ago.
